Sergio Alvarez will present his first solo album in the Usina del Arte

The prestigious guitarist Sergio Alvarez will be performing on Sunday 21 October at the Usina del Arte, where he will perform songs from "A lonely place called freedom", his first solo album.

The concert will begin at 19 and it will be with free entry, which can be withdrawn in advance at the venue located on Caffarena 1, in the neighborhood of La Boca.

Álvarez is known for having formed Porco with Gabo Ferro, as well as the punk band Panza. further, has been considered one of the 100 best Argentine guitarists by Rolling Stone magazine in 2012.

In this work, the musician proposes a completely instrumental journey through 22 compositions, where it combines jazz sounds, rock and experimental music, thus generating a strong personal imprint.

The album was made between September 2017 and March of this year at the Quark studio, recorded by Facundo Rodríguez and Javier Kida. Rodríguez was also in charge of mixing, editing and mastering.

The band that will accompany him in this presentation is made up of Andrés Elstein on drums, Juan Bayón on double bass, Franco Fontanarrosa on bass, Juan Pablo Hernández on guitar and Victor Volpi on samplers.
