Simon Kinberg, screenwriter and producer behind “X-men” Y “Sherlock Holmes”, signed with Universal Studios to write and produce a film based on “Battlestar Galactica”, cult series from the '70s.

Kinberg, who will work from scratch on a big screen adaptation of the series, will team up with Dylan Clark (“El origen del planeta de los simios”) to produce the movie.

Glen A. Larson, creator of “Battlestar Galactica”, signed an agreement with Universal in early 2009 to make a movie. The studio announced a year later that the film would be directed by Bryan Singer., although the project underwent an infinity of adjustments with a script rewritten on multiple occasions.

In 2016 Dylan Clark took over the production reins and after a parade of writers the project finally got back on track with the arrival of Simon Kinberg, que no solo está relacionado con la franquicia de los “X-Men”, sino también con “Invasion”, an exclusive series for Apple TV + starring Sam Neill that is in production.
