A very rare item from the early days of The Beatles will be auctioned
A major auction will take place on Monday through Stacey’s Auctioneers in Chelmsford, Essex, that will have a little-known collector's item related to the legendary Liverpool band.
It is the first single that the band released in 1962, with the single “Love me do” (y “P.S. I love you como cara b) which was published with a misspelling of Paul McCartney's last name.
As detailed by NME, they only exist 250 copies in the world of this copy that was made to be distributed on radio and television at the time. Instead of McCartney you can read “McArtney”, after printing 5 October 1962.
Vinyl specialist Rob Smee explained to the BBC that it is a cut “from the early days of the band's career.”. Smee added that since it is one of the 250 specimens “is of particular interest to collectors”.
