Saturday 5 October at 21:30 hours, Club Atlético General Lamadrid will be the scene of a special performance of “Nogoyá”, a play that revives one of the most silenced tragedies in Argentine history: the Massacre in the Seventh Ward.

Construction site, based on the book by Claudia Cesaroni “Massacre in the Seventh Ward”, exposes the events that occurred on 14 March 1978, when at least 65 “common” prisoners of the Devoto Prison died in a brutal act perpetrated by the military dictatorship. This event, known to few, is approached in the work from a critical and visceral perspective, with the motto of the victims' relatives resounding loudly: “As long as there is no justice, "The fire will continue to burn.".

With the direction and dramaturgy of Sebastián Moreno, “Nogoyá” is performed by a talented cast composed of Alicia Aguilar, Carlos Ariel Amadeo, Miguel Cervera, Carlos Gonzalez, Ernesto Guridi, Lautaro Liverani, Julián Szmulewicz and Celeste Tepedino.

The function in Lamadrid takes on special importance due to its proximity to the prison where the massacre occurred and on the eve of the start of the trial for this crime against humanity., that will begin 9 October in the courts of Comodoro Py.

On the other hand, The performances of “Nogoyá” will continue this Friday in September and then on Saturdays in October. Tickets can be obtained at Alternativa Teatral or at the ticket offices of the venue located on Pedro Lozano 4707, Villa Devoto.
