Third edition of the Monoblock Festival at the Abasto Social Club

Between 8 and the 14 November the third edition of the Monoblock Festival will take place, which will be based at the Abasto Social Club theater.

In this edition (with tickets for sale in Alternativa or in the enclosure located on Yatay 666) four monologues will be presented, which in turn will be part of an Anthology edited by Libros Drama, which will be presented, will circulate and distribute during the Festival.

As expressed by Liliana Weimer, Natalia and Valeria Casielles, team that makes up Monoblock, At the end of the previous edition, “something surprised us that we had never imagined and that until today we have not fully understood. Perhaps the passage of time will help to resignify the sense of so forced and necessary solitude ". That is why “today it seems incredible to us to be going through this third edition, in November 2021 ".

For the organizers, have the “possibility of seeing each other again, reassemble the bodies, the souls, music, the words that we keep for almost two years and meet again in our beloved Abasto Social Club that waited so long for us. We are happy to present the third Monoblock Festival, happy to be back ".

The Monoblock Festival held its first edition in 2019 and a second in 2020. In this third meeting, a committee made up of Ana Alvarado, Analía Couceyro and Natalia Casielles, selected four monologues, between the 115 presented by open call. Selected works, will be presented during the festival, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes each of them. During the festival there will be four free workshops, with prior registration through the theater's website, that will be in charge of Laura Paredes and Valeria Correa, Leticia Coronel, Sol Pavéz and Rocío Gómez Cantero.
