All ready for the 5th Festival of Classical Music Konex

Between 23 and the 28 April will be held in Ciudad Cultural Konex the 5th Festival of Classical Music, under the direction of Andrea Merenzon.

During 6 journeys, the traditional Buenos Aires exhibition will present a program of extreme quality, in order to bring this musical style to new and different public. In that context, the axis of this edition will be the romanticism and one of its most prominent figures: Frédéric Chopin, 170 to mark the anniversary of his death.

During the festival will be performed works by composers also highlights the period: Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Niccolò Paganini, Felix Mendelssohn, Franz Liszt y Franz Schubert, among others.

The inaugural function will be headed by the famed pianist Bruno Gelber, who will perform works by Chopin, Schumann y Beethoven. Horacio Lavandera on Saturday night with a program will be presented exclusively dedicated to Chopin. It will also be part of the programming stellar violinist Xavier Inchausti, who will be presented with Jose Araujo and Marcelo Balat, who make up the Trio Ginastera.

This time the Konex Festival will feature two concerts by international pianists: Lee Hyo-Joo Korean and Polish Pawel Kowalski who will be presented with the Quartet Petrus.

The closing function will be dedicated to the Ballet with the performance of the leading figures Karina Olmedo and Nahuel Prozzi among other prominent dancers, under the direction of Paula Argüelles. a selection of the most famous works of Romanticism be presented, As death the Swan and fragments Giselle and Coppelia, among other.
