Everything ready for a new edition of the Publishers' Fair

Between 8 and the 11 In August, a new edition of La Feria de Editores will be held (FED), which will take place at the C Art Media Complex (Avenida Corrientes 6271), of 14 a 21 hours.

With free entry and the participation of more than 330 publishers from Latin America and Spain, la FED 2024 promises to be an unmissable event for book lovers. Publishers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Spain will offer a wide variety of titles and novelties in narrative, test, poetry, music and film, social sciences and humanities, journalism, illustrated books and album books, graphic novel, among others.

International talks and visits

They will be carried out 15 talks with national and international leaders who will address topics such as the decision to write, textual language and images, the place of progressivism in a right-wing status quo, and the intersections between literature and alternative therapies, among others. Among the international visits, the Canadian writer Marie Pier Lafontain stands out., Norwegian writer Thomas Reinertsen Berg, la francosenegalesa Seynabou Sonko, the Spanish Luna Miguel and the American author Deborah Eisenberg.

Award for book work

In this edition the Prize for book work will be awarded for the fourth time, with six finalist bookstores from Tucumán, Bariloche, Buenos Aires and Villa Ballester. The award, which will be awarded on Thursday 8 of August, consists in 1.000.000 of pesos for the purchase of books at the FED and a 50% discount on all participating stands.

The finalist bookstores are:

– Headquarters (Bariloche)

– Golden Book (Tucumán)

– The Confines (Villa Ballester, PBA)

– Lawns (Schoolboys, CABA)

– Magic and Mandolin (CABA)

Solidarity initiative

further, A blood drive organized by Céspedes Libros and a group of bookstores will take place, in collaboration with the Hemocentro of Buenos Aires. To participate it is necessary to register on the FED website.
