Everything ready for a new edition of the Week of Art in the City

With a total of ten projects that were selected from 300 presented, between 27 September and 4 Art Week will take place in October 2022.

In collaboration with the Medifé Foundation, These projects were chosen from the call that took place between the 2 May and 29 of June. Thus, Art Week will celebrate and promote the visual arts agenda

Within that context and for eight days, the City will focus on the local art scene and unify a two-month calendar of contemporary art in the City. It will begin with the Pinta BAphoto fair, continues with the Art Week and the Architecture Biennial and concludes with the contemporary art fair arteBA.

For this edition of Art Week, under the premise of creating a coexistence of spaces, artistic expressions and audiences, the City proposes an interdisciplinary and free program like a large open-air museum. exhibits, talks, performances, documentaries, Tributes, training modules, and many other activities will take over the different spaces of the City.

In this edition, also, the specific professional training modules with the theme of Public Art will be presented for the first time. The Modules are sponsored by CCEBA Cultural Center of Spain in Buenos Aires, and are presented in Digital Impulse, professionalization platform of the General Directorate of Cultural and Creative Development of the Ministry of Culture. Specialists from different disciplines will provide tools for cultural makers from all over the country.

Regarding the selected projects, can be seen in squares, buildings, theaters, subway stations and other emblematic sites of the City, thus forming a large exhibition of contemporary art under the open sky.

At the same time, different cultural institutions will participate in the agenda of activities that the event will offer.

The evaluation committee of the call was formed by the art curator Carla Barbero, the winning visual artist of Art Week 2021 Luis Terán, and the architect and undersecretary of Urban Landscape, John Paul Cows.
