There are three functions left to finish the third season of “Dulce Marta”, the work directed by Ana Laura Suárez Cassino, at the Abasto Social Club.

With text by Julia del Pecho Espinosa and a performance by Romina Oslé plus live music by Seba Dorso, the work will give its last presentations on Fridays 16, 23 Y 30 of this month and with tickets that are on sale at the venue located on Yatay 666 or by Alternative Theater.

The story revolves around Marta, who lives in a small wooden house and ten minutes from the town. her husband is a miner, so he lives his days preparing sweet oranges with wishes.

Time is interrupted when he hears on the radio "bird of ill omen" and will be carried away by wishes, they are not always good.

This play won the prize in the Argentine Playwrights Contest (CDA 2021) Y, as explained by its director, “unfolds a domestic territory that invites you to contemplate”.

Suárez Cassino, in turn, points out that “the text speaks of a woman who deals with her own desires and those of others.. Desires that he inoculates in the sweets that he prepares, the desire to have a child, the wishes of his mother and those of Rodolfo, her husband". Likewise, “What is desired floats, which is denied or ignored, and is veiled and developed., elusive and elusive as its own nature”.

To carry out this set, the director proposed to carry out “a multisensory device supported by visual images, olfactory and sound performed live”.

Thus, "the scenic event, as ephemeral and unattainable as desire, occurs through overlapping and accumulating stimuli, like a fractal that when decomposing the image, lets see the unsaid.

“The sound shots executed on stage, the audience's point of view and the narrator's voice, also live, as a documentary, put together a scenic device that gives body to the tragic course of Marta. "Sweet Marta" for me, talk about women who want to be loved, that are postponed, that are consumed. It is an incendiary poem of desire”, ends.
