The exhibition “Stoppani – Legavre. From Paris to Buenos Aires” pays tribute to 50 years of experience of these great artists.
Inescapable representative of pop art in our country, Stoppani displayed his production with an energetic iconography, vibrant and festive colors. Already installed in Paris, in the years 70 begins a history of joint work with Legavre, where the artists after meeting, they begin to produce in collaboration.
The duo become increasingly involved in the performing arts, making sets and costumes for important theatrical and operatic performances. His textile designs were required by the most prominent French fashion brands. After four decades of living in France, decided to install their house / workshop in the neighborhood of La Boca.
Visitors will be able to appreciate a co-production between the museum and the Tres Pinos Foundation, where the artists rebuild especially for this show some of their most impressive creations such as the curtain made as the only scenography for the play "Le Frigo" (The refrigerator) of Children, released in 1983 in Paris.
The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, of 11 a 19, reserving an appointment (admission is free).
