There are just a few days left to be part of one of the most representative meetings offered by the City of Buenos Aires and which brings together couples from all over the world, the Tango BA Dance World.

This proposal has been open for days and will end its call on Tuesday 31 of August, providing the possibility of being a part in person or virtual.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Tango BA Mundial de Baile opened its registration in the categories Track Tango and / or Stage Tango. This call is open to amateur and professional dancers from all over the world, older than 18 years, who will be able to carry out the procedure online.

In this edition, the competition will have a different modality from previous years and, especially, designed for the current context. Faced with the health situation, for this year, competitors will be able to participate both in person and virtually; both modalities being measured in a single competition to find out who will be the new World Champions of Track Tango and Stage Tango. This modality is specially designed so that all the participating dancers, are evaluated on equal terms.

The face-to-face competition will have the qualifying and semifinal rounds at the Usina del Arte with the presence of the public and reduced capacity, complying with the protocols and sanitary measures for the public and competitors. Prior to each instance of the competition, Participants must prove a Negative COVID certificate made 24 hours before your presentation. Likewise, must complete and sign an Affidavit guaranteeing that they do not have symptoms compatible with COVID.

The qualifying rounds of Stage Tango will be the days 20 Y 21 September and the Semifinal on the day 23 of September. In Tango de Pista, qualifying rounds will take place on days 18 Y 19 September and the Semifinal will be held on 22 of September

The finals of both categories will take place on 25 of September.

For the virtual competition of Tango de Pista, in each instance of the ranking - ranking rounds, semifinals and finals- couples will receive the tracks they will have to dance, with a stipulated time to send your video, respecting the guidelines set forth in the regulations. This will allow compiling the videos in rounds of four contestants, so that the jury can evaluate the couples through a divided screen that will be found in the Usina del Arte.

In the case of Tango Escenario, in each instance, to each couple, a specific phrase will be sent to you to say before recording, to denote the temporality of it, Also giving a stipulated time for sending the material that the jury will evaluate.

further, the new Digital Impulse modules were launched, the program of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the city of Buenos Aires, which aims to provide training tools for the professionalization of cultural and artistic projects in digital environments. The modules that will be part of this new release will be specifically oriented to the tango sector, to which they can register from impulsodigital.vivamoscultura.com.

Three calls were also opened: to be part of the Virtual Product Fair, that of the Group Dance Contest, specially oriented to tango and folklore ballet groups formed by young people from between 13 Y 18 years, in order to promote new generations of dancers of the genre, and a Call for Discs Released between August 2019 and August 2021.
