There are only a few days left to finish the registration stage to participate in the ninth edition of the Las Alturas International Film Festival, one of the most important meetings of the NOA.

The deadline for registration and presentation of audiovisual projects is the 30 of April. It is worth remembering that the Festival will take place between the first and the 10 of September.

With the intention of promoting and supporting the productions of the region and neighboring countries, the Festival won a place of preponderance among all the events of the Seventh Art in the country.

The projects that can be registered are those completed in January 2022 and for films in progress.

The Festival will have four competitions that are in force:

• International Fiction Feature Film Competition and International Documentary Feature Film Competition: productions from Argentina will be received, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

• NOA Regional Short Film Competition: fiction short films will be accepted, documentary and/or animation from the NOA Region of Argentina (Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, La Rioja and Catamarca).

• National Competition Work in Progress of the Heights: Argentine production and/or co-production feature film projects that have begun the filming process will be received. It is open to fiction genre films, documentary and animation.

The Las Alturas International Film Festival will reward the chosen productions with the Andes Statuette and an award of 800 thousand pesos in international competitions. At the same time, there will be a prize of 500 thousand pesos for the winner of the NOA Shorts competition and others 500 thousand for best film in development.

There will also be statuettes in the Fiction Feature Film Competition for Best Direction, Best screenplay, Best Direction of Photography, Best performance, Jury Special Mention and Public Award. While in the NOA Short and Documentary Competition an Andes statuette will also be awarded for the Special Mention of the Jury and the Audience Award.
