Gardel cycle to look even better
Argentina Cinematheque Foundation and the Theater Complex of Buenos Aires presented, this Saturday 27 to Thursday 2 of May, cycle "Gardel sings better every day", with those copies digitally restored, one of them on film 35 mm.- Sala Leopoldo Lugones at the Teatro San Martín (Corrientes 1530).
The sample shall consist of five feature films and short compilation of the legendary singer, conducted between 1932 Y 1935, in particular copies restored as part of the celebrations for the 70 anniversary of the creation of Cinemateca Argentina.
For many years these films were projected in the Argentine and Latin American cinemas, especially for anniversaries, and eventually these copies were destroyed, He prompting Guillermo Fernandez Jurado, one of the founders of Cinemateca Argentina and front up 2013, to acquire and collect these movies.
