An Argentine short was awarded in the French MIFA audiovisual market
The national accomplishment "Steps to fly", from the director Nicolás Conte, was awarded in the framework of the MIFA audiovisual market of the French Annecy animation festival.
The animated short film, made with the stop motion technique and 8 minute, won the Ciclic award in the Animation du Monde category. The Argentine film competed with eleven productions from around the world that were selected for this instance between 165 Projects.
Regarding the award, consists of a one-month residency in Vendôme, France, where they will receive lodging, a workspace and tutorials with French experts.
Regarding its history, "Steps to Fly" tells the story of a little wooden bird without wings that, defying his master, find your own way to fly.
Durante MIFA, the project reached an agreement with the prestigious French production company Vivement Lundi! Joined by Jean-François Le Corre as co-producer.
The Annecy International Film Festival is the most important in the world in terms of animation since its first edition, in 1960.
