The director Maura Delpero was awarded at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival for her film “Home”.

Delpero received the Women In Motion Young Talent Award 2020, awarded by the Kering group and the Cannes Film Festival. The award pursues the objective of supporting cinematographic creation among young people.

“Receiving this award this year is particularly important because we all feel a bit stagnant and this award makes us look to the future”, Delpero said in a thank you video.

The film had already received awards and mentions at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in 2019 and in Locarno of the same year, in addition to the Annecy Italian Cinema Festival and Reykjavik (Iceland) International Film Festival.

Tape, which premiered in December last year in Argentine theaters, narrates the conflicts that are experienced in a home of nuns who take care of teenage mothers.
