Unusual returns Festival Film Buenos Aires
The 14th Buenos Aires Unusual Film Festival, to be held 18 al 28 October, With free entry, intends to investigate “the least explored aspects of current film production in order to meet the expectations of those who long for a different film vision”, the organization reported.
As a great novelty of this edition, The venues chosen for this exhibition will be the INCAA-Cine Gaumont Space (Rivadavia 1635), the Public Bar Association of the Federal Capital (Corrientes 1441), the Apple of Lights (Peru 272), and the room of the Cinema University (J.M Passage. Giuffra 330).
In the Official Fiction Competition you will see “Absence”, by Gabriel Piñeiro; “Absenteeism”, by Mauro Altschuler; “Harvest”, Rodrigo José García, “The mud”, by Gabriel de Piero; “Fright”, by Carlos Lasso; “Endohell Terminus”, by Germán Favier and “Filmlandia”, by Lamberto Arevalo.
The list continues with “Krona 3-The Froggy Case”, by Federico James Tarántola; “Amber's Revenge”, by Cinthya Glezer; “Nowhere”, by Maximiliano Frydman and Patricio Terreira; “Naps”, by Pablo Guallar, what will be seen at the opening of the festival, next Thursday.
In the Documentary Competition where eclectic points of view of popular culture come together, you will see, among other, works like “Agnieszka”, by Enrique Stavron; ; “The Doxey Bogart”, the Jonathon Watkiss, “Long live the Palindrome”, by Thomas Lipgot and “File on the skin”, by María José Moreno.
There will also be a Short Film Competition and an Exquisite Miscellany Competition., with works like “Achilles”, Rodrigo Malmsten; “trapped”, by Sergio Marzano; “Story of torture”, by Ezequiel de San Pio, Y “Sewing machine and an umbrella on the dissection table”, by Gustavo Monjeau.
In the Parallel Sections there is collaboration from the Goethe-Institut Buenos Aires and the Institut Français d'Argentine, and Sergio Galasso (Acting Films) will present “Royal Hunt” Y “In the forest”, two French films from the programs Teenagers on the Limit and Retro Territory.
There will be room for a Training Space, a section called Becoming Aware, about sociocultural issues, with works like “Miguel”, by Natalia Greco, with the presence of the Brazilian actress Cris Lopes.
Finally, the opening event will have two screenings, of two Argentine productions in competition: the first will be “Naps”, by Pablo Guellar, and the second “Harvest”, by Rodrigo José García, two on Thursday 18, to 20 Y 22.30, respectively, at the INCAA-Cine Gaumont Space.
