The “María Guerrero” Awards return to the Cervantes National Theater

In order to recognize the excellence of the activity, Hand in hand with the Friends of the Teatro Nacional Cervantes Association, the prestigious “María Guerrero” awards return.

The appointment will be 2 August at the Teatro Cervantes, where the work of more than 120 nominees from different categories of scenic activity.

Argentine artist Natalia Abot designed the award

It is worth noting that this distinction is one of the most important that the theater offers and that it has been carried out since 1985. But nevertheless, the awards were interrupted in 2018.

In this opportunity, the jury in charge of evaluating the nominees is made up of a member of the Association of Friends of the TNC, a representative of the commission of the traditional Buenos Aires venue located on Libertad street 815 and critics and researchers who work within the theater field.

The opening ceremony will begin at 14 in the Maria Guerrero room, where the nominees of the 21 categories, spanning direction, dramaturgy, performance, scenography, music and many other artistic fields.

Likewise, the prestigious award has been designed by the outstanding national artist Natalia Abot, who recreated a work that combines aesthetic value with the symbolism and recognition that this award already possesses.
