Walter Kerhart will exhibit his works in the Roseum Gallery
Rosario artist Walter Kerhart will carry out his first solo show in the City of Buenos Aires, which will take place at the Roseum Gallery.
The sample, that bears the name "Other skin", will be officially inaugurated on 19 July from 19 hours, under the curatorship of Débora Alegret. Once submitted, can be visited from Monday to Friday 11 a 18 hours.
Born in Rosario, but resident in Bariloche, Kerhart will exhibit a series of large acrylic paintings on canvas. This sample will remain open until 4 September and can be visited for free, by appointment writing to the mail of the enclosure located on Perón 1719, info@roseumcontemporaneo.com.
In the words of the curator, Walter Kerhart makes this dual phenomenon his work., like a pictorial rhizome, the line and the gesture grow in his paintings, crossing different surfaces: materials, emotional and symbolic.
In added time: “As his intervention progresses, the work returns images, memories, fragments of a barely perceptible whole, intimate, wild".
Meanwhile, Virginia Rojas, gallery director, maintains that the exhibition "immerses us in an atmosphere where large-format canvases, with an expressive and energetic brushstroke, they propose us to perceive the skin of the artist and the spectator, as a verb through which we cohabit the world around us”.
It is “a visual reflection, and strident combinations, where the figure of man appears and disappears between the different works”. Rojas explains that "there is something that always remains, and that we cannot avoid not perceiving for a second before his works, the presence of an artist who has managed to develop a personal language that intermittently evokes the ability to feel”.
