XIV begins Textile Art Salon in the Jose Hernandez Museum
This Friday 3 August a new edition of Textile Art Salon will be held, based at the Museo de Arte Popular José Hernández, starting at 18.
This is the edition 14, which is carried out with the support of the Friends Association of the facility located on Avenida del Libertador 2373.
More than fifty works were selected for this call., through a jury made up of the prestigious artists María Elena Pensel, Becky Camji and Stella Carone, all under the general coordination of Tossoni Delia.
Thanks to his work “More love please”, Lorena Zabaleta won first prize in the Small Format category; while in Medium Format the first prize went to Adriana Fernández with the creation “The hesitant”.
Declared of Cultural Interest by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Artists are invited to submit works using various techniques and materials, ranging from traditional to contemporary aesthetics.
It should be added that the material used can be organic, inorganic or synthetic and are composed of warp and weft. The selection criteria of the jury allow us to provide the viewer with a wide and current sample of textile art..
On the other hand, and within the framework of the museum's 80th Anniversary, Alicia Antich won the Félix Bunge Special Prize.
The hours to visit the exhibition are from Tuesday to Friday 13 a 20 and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a 20.
The tickets have a cost of 30 pesos, while Wednesdays are free. Those under 12 years, retirees and students with accreditation, People with disabilities plus a companion and public schools do not pay admission.
