YouTube anticipates the Tokyo Games with series and a documentary
There are a few days until the start of the Tokyo Olympics, Unmissable sports event that was delayed by the advance of the pandemic.
To go getting ready, YouTube, through its Originals platform, will present series inspired by the sporting event par excellence and a documentary.
First, the production that is already available on the platform is "Strive", which follows men and women who were forced to flee their countries as refugees while training to compete in Tokyo.
The presentation of this production was in charge of the American gymnast and gold medalist Gabby Douglas.
At the same time, tomorrow will premiere "World Debut", which will be available on the YouTube Olympics channel.
It is a documentary feature film, directed by Cole Sax and Galen Knowles, which follows the journey of what it takes to add new sports to the Olympics, like skate, surfing and climbing, that will be part of the list of disciplines this year.
Likewise, the 14 July will be the turn of "How to Olympics", an eight-part series that provides viewers with everything they need to know about Olympic events with easy-to-understand informational videos especially focused on those sports with which the public is least connected the rest of the year, like taekwondo, rhythmic gymnastics, hammer throw or synchronized swim, among others.
Finally, the 23 to release “Break the Record” on Guinness World Records Official YouTube channel.
Conceived as a series for the whole family, Each episode features boys and girls who will be mentored by Guinness Record holders to try to emulate them.
