The National Bicentennial House began to celebrate Peruvian culture
Until the 15 from December, The National House of the Bicentennial will be the scene of the Cultural Week of Peru, a free proposal that celebrates the Bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho.
Organized by the Embassy of Peru in Argentina, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, This initiative offers a space to explore traditions, the art and history of the Andean country through exhibitions, cinema and activities for children.
Among the outstanding samples, “The Great Inca Trail. Peru: integration and diversity” brings together striking photographs by José Luis Matos Muñasqui, Yanoa Pomalima, Edgardo Solórzano Palacín and the Archive of the Ministry of Culture of Peru, that will be available from 13 from December to 26 from January. On the other hand, “Disfigured past” exposes 48 works by young Peruvian artists —Fabiola Gonzáles, Rubén Saavedra and Alexander Tongombol—who reflect on historical memory and its connection with the present. This last exhibition will be open until 15 from December.
Cinema will also have its place with a series that will screen three films representative of the talent and innovation of the Peruvian seventh art.. The functions will be carried out 13 al 15 December at 17 Y 19 hours.
further, The children's workshop “El Camino del Inca” will offer the little ones (of 5 a 8 years) a creative drawing and collage experience to learn about the exhibitions in a playful way. This workshop will take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December at 16 hours.
