“Between seas and islands, some flowers” ​​is the name of the brand new exhibition that Galería Mar Dulce will present starting this Saturday 7 of September.

This proposal brings together the creations of the artist Mónica Peralta who, curated by Cynthia Kampelmacher, They can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, with free entry during business hours 16 a 19 hours at the Uriarte venue 1490.

In this way Peralta will have his first individual exhibition in Mar Dulce, presenting a total of 27 of his creations in transfer and collage.

Mónica Peralta describes her work as a trip to the past, in which he immerses himself to revive old images and reinterpret them from a contemporary perspective. “I am fascinated by exploring natural processes and unknown places that evoke the idea of ​​a lost paradise”, comment. Inspired by the botanical illustrations of female explorers of the 18th and 19th centuries., Peralta manages to capture the essence of those expeditions to the New World, creating pieces that oscillate between the arcadian and the utopian.

The artist combines gold, papers and inks on velvet, giving his works a touch of baroque preciousness, “as a symbol of those times”, as explained. further, It incorporates spontaneous strokes and uses versatile surfaces that reflect its vision of a desired future.. “These works become a kind of safe conduct, “an offering that defies boundaries and connects the old with what is to come”, concludes Peralta.
