The Imperial Orchestra is presented in the CCK
Monday 27 In February the Brazilian Imperial Orchestra will arrive in the country to perform at the CCK Symphony Hall, starting at 20 hours and free admission.
All the color and rhythm of the neighboring country's carnival will be present with the help of prestigious musicians like Domenico, The bag, Pedro Sa, Emanuelle Araujo, Nina Becker, Maíra Freitas, Rubinho Jacobina Duani Martins and Stéphane San Juan.
The show will feature a repertoire that includes traditional Brazilian songs as well as new compositions to listen to and dance to..
Formed in 2002, the Orchestra began in Rio de Janeiro, initially integrated by Berna Ceppas, Kassin and Seu Jorge. Thanks to the great impact that their presentations had, Later, figures from the Rio pop scene joined in - such as Rodrigo Amarante, Moreno Veloso, Domenico Lancellotti, Nina Becker, Thalma de Freitas, Max Sette and Rubinho Jacobina- with experienced musicians, as Nélson Jacobina, the percussionist and singer Wilson das Neves and the guitarist Pedro Sá.
Meanwhile, The musicians recorded an EP with four songs in 2006, and then reaching their first album just a few months later, titled Carnival only next year, which was also published in several countries the following year.
Following the success of the plate, The Imperial Orchestra carried out an international tour that took them to countries like Portugal, Denmark, Spain and the United States. They also gave concerts at the Barbican Center Theater in London., within the framework of an exhibition on tropicalism.
The Brazilians also performed at the Gainsbourg Imperial, a tribute to the French artist Serge Gainsbourg, which brought together musical director Jean Claude Vannier with Jane Birkin and Caetano Veloso and won the Bravo award for best musical show of the year.
In 2012, after ten years of the group, The album Making Peace with Swing was released, album containing thirteen songs that were released by the Mais Um Discos label.
