The winners of the Arthaus Awards will be exhibited at the Bellas Artes
Since Wednesday 2 of August the works created within the framework of the Arthaus Prize for Electronic Arts will be exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, With free entry.
from 18, the traditional Buenos Aires venue will start its new temporary exhibition, which will be available to the public until 3 next month in the room 42 on the second floor of the museum.
Rodolfo Marquis, Gabriela Golder and Diego Alberti, who in May 2022 were awarded the Arthaus Prize for this specialty, will expose the achievements that were winners.
It is worth noting that these pieces were evaluated by a jury made up of María Teresa Constantin, artistic director of Arthaus; Andrés Duprat and Mariana Marchesi, director and artistic director of the Fine Arts, respectively; the researcher Jorge La Ferla and the visual artist and professor at the National University of the Arts, anahí caceres.
Before the inauguration, the director Duprat explained that “through the exploration of the creative possibilities of the technologies, these artists revitalize in their works the readings on themes that have challenged several generations of authors, as the gaze on the natural environment, the survival of ancient traditions, resistance against political violence and the construction of historical fictions”.
Likewise, The director maintained that with this exhibition "the National Museum of Fine Arts achieves a double purpose: gives space and visibility to contemporary art manifestations, and it does so together with a new cultural institution like Arthaus, in a virtuous articulation between the private and public spheres”.
