The Government of Corrientes extended the National Festival of Chamamé, that was going to take place next January and will be rescheduled “for when the necessary conditions for its realization are met”, it was reported in an official statement.

"The State produces this huge party, what is contact, that is enchamigada and with good judgment it was decided to reprogram it, because this Government also encourages us to continue caring for the people of Corrientes ", affirmed the president of the Institute of Culture of Corrientes, Gabriel Romero.

The 31 edition of the National Festival of Chamamé, held annually at the Mario del Tránsito Cocomarola amphitheater in the capital of Corrientes, was dated 14 al 25 next january, But given the coronavirus pandemic in those days, television and digital content will be transmitted on a series of platforms.

In that sense, The Corrientes Institute of Culture announced that it will summon musicians of the genre and technical personnel to start next week a work on the details of the organization of the material to be disseminated and the face-to-face edition of the coming year.

“When possible we are going to have the party with the same hierarchy as every year, as all of us from Corrientes deserve ", explained the head of the cultural portfolio of Corrientes.
