Two new exhibitions at the José Hernández Popular Art Museum
This Thursday 24 October the José Hernández Popular Art Museum will present two new exhibitions at its headquarters on Avenida del Libertador 2373.
The first, titled “Treasures of the Gran Chaco. Praise of the Earth”, It is organized in collaboration with the Chaco Cultural Foundation and proposes a dialogue between the indigenous and popular art of northeast Argentina, fusing the ancient with the contemporary. The exhibition is curated by Gustavo Insaurralde and highlights the work of the Newtro Arts collective, which has developed an immersive experience through new technologies such as artificial intelligence, creating a link between digital techniques and traditional craft practices. The public will be able to explore a navigable virtual environment, plus enjoy animated photos and videos that explore the intersection between ancient and modern.
The second exhibition, “Nirvana”, by visual artist Sergio Blanco, invites you to a sensory experience in the museum garden. Curated by Fernanda Akian, the proposal combines art, music and nature, inviting visitors to connect with their emotions and memories. The main pieces in the exhibition are “Twilight Dawn”, “Paradise” and “Between the possible and the real”, that evoke reflections on lived experiences and the relationship with the environment.
The exhibition can be visited on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11 a 19 hours and saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a 20. Closed on Tuesdays. The tickets have a cost of 5 one thousand pesos for the general public and one thousand for Argentine residents or foreigners with DNI. The Wednesdays, admission is free. Retirees also have free access, university students with accreditation, people with disabilities (with a companion), minor 12 years and groups of public school students every day.
