Days ago, the Buenos Aires Theater Complex announced the arrival of a new initiative to encourage the return of independent stage activity, It is the CTBA Award for the Creation and Production of Performing Arts in Rooms of the Independent Circuit 2021.

In the current context of health emergency, the independent theater circuit of Buenos Aires faces the challenge of returning to face-to-face functions.

The call will reward 10 projects with a sum of 500 thousand for each and will impact more than 300 artists, technicians and producers.

The objectives of the award are to strengthen the operation of the rooms of the independent circuit of the city of Buenos Aires, favor the original creation and integral production of unpublished scenic works, facilitate the premiere and presentation of works in Buenos Aires theaters in 2022 and strengthen the performing arts value chain.

Meanwhile, the CTBA informed that the evaluation process will be 14 from October to 25 of November. While the list of elect will be announced on 26 of November.
