The Cinema Museum prepared several activities to enjoy the holiday
Within the framework of the extensive holiday for Holy Week and for the Veterans and Fallen in the Malvinas War, the Museum of Cinema Pablo C. Ducrós Hicken will carry out an extensive program of activities to enjoy.
Within that context, on Sunday 31 from 19 hours, The “Memories of Light” series presents a special selection of digital films from Chaco and La Rioja. This meeting seeks to highlight the diversity of audiovisual materials produced in these provinces and the preservation initiatives behind them.. Featured “Little School of the Hills” (Hermes Quintana, 1969), “The young woman from the north” (Jose Luis Meana, 1976) and “Climbing Famatina” (Hermes Quintana, 1969-1970), emblematic films that are part of research and film rescue projects.
Monday 1 April at 18, short films recovered from the Cinematheque of the UNC School of Arts will be screened. Among them, “Students” are found (Film Pilot Group, 1965) and “V FAS Congress in Chaco” (Córdoba Base Cinema Group, 1973), both historical documents that capture significant moments of university and political life of the time.
further, the same Monday at 16, The Museum presents a special about the Malvinas with the documentary “The sea unites us” (Alberto Larran, 1974) which recounts the first sailing regatta in the Falkland Islands in 1974, along with “Trip to the Falkland Islands” (unknown author, circa end of 1960), a unique amateur record of life in Port Stanley. The function will be complemented with interviews about “What Argentines Think” during the War of 1982.
