The Palacio San José will open its doors to the public again

This Friday 8 October will reopen the emblematic Palacio San José Museum and National Historic Monument "Justo José de Urquiza".

It is a museum with national identity characteristics, located in a strategic enclave of the Mesopotamian region, that recovers the figure of its inhabitant: General Justo José de Urquiza. further, has the attractions of its natural environment, its architecture and its own collections.

Renovated, the museum awaits the public with a reworking of its circuit, now titled "Touring the Palace as an illustrious visitor", accessed from the main entrance. It also presents its new Room of the Argentine Republic.

The creation of new spaces, the enhancement of the building and the recovery of gardens and green spaces had the support of various actors of society and, fundamentally, with effective agreements between the Nation, the province of Entre Ríos and regional municipalities with the firm intention of living a museum that recovers the ideology of eighteen hundred and continues with the spirit of General Urquiza democratizing culture in the 21st century.

The opening ceremony will take place next Friday 8 October 15 a 19 and will have the presence of the National Director of Museums, Maria Isabel Baldasarre, and the new director of the Museum, the architect Norberto Iribarren, in addition to other prominent local authorities.

Later it will be open to the public on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9:30 a 18; with guided visits to 10, 11, 14 Y 15 hours.

Entrance to the museum is free with prior registration at http://museourquiza.cultura.gob.ar respecting current sanitary protocols.
