Tribute to Charlie Watts in a new Rolling Stones video clip
The Rolling Stones made in the last hours a preview of the video clip for "Living in the heart of love", which includes a tribute to Charlie Watts, drummer deceased on 24 of August.
This video clip is part of all the work that the legendary British band is doing within the framework of the 40 anniversary of the album "Tatto You", whose special edition will be released on 22 October.
Watts, of 80 years, died after a series of health complications and - for reasons of isolation due to the pandemic- the rest of his bandmates didn't get a chance to say goodbye in person.
In this short preview of the music video for the song that was originally released on 1981, the group showed several close-ups of the drummer; interspersed with new disco scenes where two girls meet while dancing.
La leyenda “Charlie is my Darling”, phrase chosen to show love towards the deceased member, appears at the end of the video.
curiously, that phrase was the title of a documentary made by Peter Whitehead that - together with Andrew Loog Oldham- reflected a tour the band did in Ireland in 1966.
As for "Living in the heart of love" is a song that until now remained unpublished, since it was left out at the time of the final recording of the album. "Tattoo You" contains classics like "Start me up", “Little T&A”, “Neighbours” y “Waiting on a friend”.
It is worth remembering that this Sunday 26 September will be the return of the Rolling Stones to the stage after the pandemic and after the sad departure of Watts, now replaced by Steve Jordan. The concert will be in the North American city of Saint Louis.
