Book Fair Children and Youth came to the villa 21-24

The facilities of the House of Culture - located on Avenida Iriarte 3500- from the aforementioned neighborhood have been chosen to give children the possibility of having access to hundreds of titles of children's and young people's literature, always free and gratuitous.
According to the Minister of Culture of the Nation, Pablo Avelluto, who was present at the opening of the Fair, "The House of Culture is my favorite place of all the Ministry. That it is the headquarters of the Children's and Youth Book Fair means that borders are demolished, that of social and geographical prejudices. What is here is the embodiment of the idea of cultural politics and society that we want to build, equal opportunities for all ".
Every day, circus artists will perform a show at the door to invite families to participate in the fair. In the central hall, a colorful show of rappers versus payadores welcomes and improvises stories based on audience participation.
Regarding the auditorium, is a space that houses a capacity for 200 people. In addition, puppet shows are held, circus, music, clown and theater proposals. On the other hand, three times per week, always the 11, the highest grossing children's films are screened. Before entering the room, the boys receive pochoclos so that the cinema experience is complete.
Although the House does not sell books, a part of the central hall functions as a large reading room. Kids have the newest titles available to read and flip through again and again. further, have the advice of literary mediators.
One of the most beautiful novelties of the house is the installation of the only audiobook with the voice of Julio Cortázar. The house has several, very successful among the little ones.
There are participatory workshops for kids with different interests: comic books, literary production and illustration, kitchen room, bachata, percussion, juggling, construction of dream catchers and stained glass among others.
In the computer room, a team of cultural technological mediators uses technology - computers and mobile phones - to bring children closer to reading.
The House of Popular Culture of the town 21-24 receives in its regular workshops around 900 guys every month. Gustavo Ameri, director of the house, estimates that during the holidays they will receive about 300 boys per day. This program, in addition to bringing together a cultural proposal selected by experts that guarantees the quality of all activities, constitutes a social inclusion strategy for a population without the possibility of going out in search of alternatives.
The president of the Fundación El Libro was also present at the inauguration., Martín Gremmelspacher, the Institutional and Cultural Director of the El Libro Foundation, Califa geese, and the director of the National Library Alberto Manguel.
