The nominees for the Sur Awards were announced on Friday, distinctions awarded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Argentina, whose ceremony will be in March next year.

In this sense, the members of the brand new board of directors were present, integrated by its president Axel Kuschevasky and Lorena Muñoz and Jésica Suárez, secretary and vocal, respectively.

The announcement of the nominees was made by Peter Lanzani, one of the actors who was awarded as a male revelation during the last edition, as a result of his work in El Clan.

Voted for more than 250 Academy partners, the South Awards have two phases, the first corresponds to the choice of the nominees, while the second is where the winners are chosen.

This first instance was voted by specialty, since the nominees were evaluated and highlighted by their own colleagues.

Total, 130 films were those that entered the competition. It should be noted that they were released between October 1, 2015 and the 30 September 2016.

Incident Light turned out to be the most nominated film (13), followed by Gilda, I do not regret this love (12), The illustrious citizen (9) and at the end of the tunnel (8).
