Soledad Silveyra and Osvaldo Laport will meet again at the theater

The iconic acting couple composed of Soledad Silveyra and Osvaldo Laport will work together again after 19 years on the stage of the Multiteatro Comafi to star in the theatrical version of “The Force of Affection”.

This project, based on the winning work of 5 James Brooks Oscar Awards, arrives on the scene under the direction of Corina Fiorillo and the general production of Ángel Mahler and Leo Cifelli.

The staging, which will premiere on 10 of January of 2024, will feature the participation of other talented actors such as Julieta Ortega, Dolores Ocampo and Damián Iglesias. The performances will take place from Wednesday to Sunday at the Multiteatro Comafi, located on Avenida Corrientes 1283.

In the words of Corina Fiorillo, “The Force of Affection” is a work that “talks about bonds and does so in a very natural way.”, like life itself. It has wonderful dialogues and these two things are the first things that attracted me to the material when the production called me to the project”.

The director added that it is “a text full of humor.”, of emotionality and a definition of characters that makes the material tremendously empathetic”.

It is worth adding that this proposal could be seen in cinema in 1983, based on the novel of the same name by Larry McMurtry, was directed, written and produced by James L. Brooks. Starring Shirley MacLaine, Debra Winger, Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Jeff Daniels y John Lithgow, The film received eleven Academy Award nominations and won five Oscars..

Among the awards obtained are Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay for J. Brooks, Best Actress for Shirley MacLaine and Best Supporting Actor for Jack Nicholson at the Academy Awards.

Tickets to enjoy “La Fuerza del Cariño” are now available through the Plateanet system. Performances will take place on Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday at 20:30 hours, Saturdays at 20 Y 22 hours, and Sundays at 20 hours.
