"Tropical Night Falls" will re-premiere at the Sala Casacuberta del San Martín
Since Thursday 9 of September, the Casacuberta Room of the San Martín Theater will once again receive "Tropical Night Falls", the show by Santiago Loza and Pablo Messiez based on the novel by Manuel Puig.
Directed by Messiez himself and replaced by Leonor Manso, this work can be seen from 19 on the premises located on Avenida Corrientes 1530, where it will remain until 19 from December, with functions that go from Wednesday to Sunday.
Starring Leonor Manso, Ingrid Pelicori and Eugenia Guerty; plus the voice-overs of Javier Rodríguez Cano and Lalo Rotavería. In the work, also, original songs composed and performed by Carmen Baliero sound (piano and voice), Carlos Vega placeholder image (double bass), Wenchi Lazo (electric guitar) and Juan Faisal (voice).
In the work, two octogenarian sisters living in Rio de Janeiro evoke the past and talk about the love affair of a younger neighbor. According to Puig, the fundamental theme of his novel is affection. And comment: "In old age the craving for affection grows. When you can no longer plan the future, the need for affection rises, to deliver affection. The ultimate activity, almost unique, it is affective ".
Leonor Manso and Ingrid Pelicori make up these two sisters who refuse to give up, and Eugenia Guerty to the neighbor whose story fills them with life.
The show premiered at 2018, with excellent repercussion from critics and public, exhausting almost all functions.
