Within the framework of the next Ciudad Emergente festival, the Ministry of Culture of the City launched new calls for bands and djs.

The calls are made under the slogan "Play with your favorite artist" and "Emerging DJs". All interested parties should contact each other through an online form available on the Buenos Aires City Festivals website..

In "Play with your favorite artist", Emerging bands from anywhere in the country will be able to sign up to choose which of their favorite music artists they'd like to play a song with, from the following list of established artists proposed by the festival: Yet, Silvina Moreno and CELLI. They will be in charge of making the selection of which emerging artist they want to play with.. The winning bands will have their own show in the edition 2021 of the Festival where they will share the stage with their favorite artist.

Meanwhile, "Emerging DJs" summons artists from all over the country in three different categories: set of urban music, progressive set and techno and house set. A committee made up of Villa Diamante, John Cosani and Violett, industry benchmarks, will determine the selected ones that will be programmed within the framework of the edition 2021 of the Emerging City Festival, being able to share the scene with consecrated men and women in the field of local electronic music.

The projects selected to be part of the Festival will be announced from Monday 20 September 2021 through the website of the City of Buenos Aires Festivals.

These calls are part of Open Culture: a call plan for all cultural doers who seek to support the work of the sector, accompany him on his return - which started on Friday 18 June with reduced capacity- and reactivate the cultural life of the City.
