Porteño Choirs celebrate 15 años con un gran concierto en la Usina del Arte
Monday 2 December at 19 hours, the Usina del Arte will be the scene of a special event that will commemorate the 15 years of the Coros Porteños Program.
The proposal will include a wide repertoire dedicated to popular music from Latin America, with free entry and open to the entire community.
The concert will feature the participation of the Porteña Choral Group, the Choir of Employees of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, the Coral Centellado and the GOPS Youth Choir. The groups will be directed by teachers Pablo Quinteros, Silvana Nomberto and Manuel Fuentes, respectively. The guitar workshops of the Cultural Program in Barrios and the Musical Project of the UTN Buenos Aires will also be added under the direction of Gustavo Ehrenfeld.
The repertoire will include works by renowned artists such as Charly García, Gustavo Cerati, Natalia Lafourcade, peteco carabajal, Jorge Fandermole, Pedro Farías Gómez and Enrique Santos Discépolo, among others, in a selection that seeks to pay tribute to the cultural wealth of the region.
Created in 2009, The Coros Porteños Program promotes choral practice in different neighborhoods of the City of Buenos Aires through training spaces and artistic activities. Throughout his career, has offered master classes and seminars given by leaders in the choral field, in addition to organizing educational concerts and meetings that bring together both stable choirs and invited independent groups.
The program has an outstanding history of presentations at emblematic sites such as the Usina del Arte, the Golden Hall of the House of Culture, the Casacuberta Room of the San Martín Theater and the First Methodist Church, where it was part of The Night of the Museums. He has also participated in various events in the province of Buenos Aires, such as the FAMA Festival in Tandil and performances at the Marconi Theater in Saladillo, among others.
This anniversary will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the City's choral talent and a musical tribute that stands out for its quality and artistic diversity..
