On Book Day, The Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture presented a series of free activities that can be enjoyed through the Vivamos Cultura platform.

In that context, the General Directorate for Book Promotion, libraries, y la Cultura presents audiovisual capsules with references from the literary world that will expose the distinctive features of the genres that cross the network's catalog.

The initiative will be the first of a series of actions and proposals that will aim to celebrate Book Month digitally with the City's reading community. The proposal, in addition to making known the bibliographic collection of the Network and its thematic diversity, It will be the first promotional action of Los Chosen, a collection of more than 1200 recommended titles to discover and rediscover books of today and forever that will soon be available in the libraries of the network.

The capsules will cover the characteristic features of eight genres and literary themes, hand in hand with referents of the world of letters: Diego Ziggiotto will present on Buenos Aires, its places and characters, distinctive theme of the Guido y Spano Library catalog. Martín Sancia will speak about the crime novel, Distinctive genre of the Joaquín V Library catalog. González.

For her part, Agustina Caride will present on the literature of Jorge Luis Borges, present in the catalog of the Miguel Cané Library. Liliana Viola will speak about journalistic chronicle, Distinctive genre of the Casa de la Lectura Library catalog. This time, from this Friday the following modules will be available: Literary festivals in the digital age (and in the context of a pandemic).
