The Buenos Aires Theater Complex announced its season 2024
With the presence of its director Alberto Ligaluppi and the Minister of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Gabriela Ricardes, the Theater Complex of Buenos Aires (CTBA) announced its extensive and varied programming for the season 2024.
The CTBA has the San Martín Theater, Sarmiento, the El Plata Cinema Theater, the Regio theater, the theater of La Ribera and the recently reopened theater in 2023, the Presidente Alvear theater.
Within the framework of the exhibition, Ricardes expressed that “the San Martín Theater, especially, and the Buenos Aires Theater Complex, in general terms, They have a reputation and a history that precedes us and succeeds us.. Our work at the head of institutions like these consists of assuming that history and taking it further into the future., committing ourselves to contemporaneity, with modernity, with what we have today to communicate and with what artists each year and each season have to express to the public”.
“During the years 2022 Y 2023, The Complex began its post-pandemic journey with a new dynamic, that placed us in a different position than the one occupied by this organization”, Ricardes added.. “It changed numerous habits and forced us to join this company with great determination and a strong desire to navigate new waters.”, that surpass and expand all its relevance and magnitude”, the minister commented, at the same time that he stated that for this mission it is essential to establish intersections “between what autonomous artists require and what commercial theater also requires.”, because it is imperative to be united and reflect on what we do with generosity and love, mainly by the public, for whom we carry out all the actions we undertake”.
By your side, Alberto Ligaluppi stated that the essential function of the Buenos Aires Theater Complex is “to strengthen a meeting space to contemplate and debate the various perspectives from theater and scenic expressions.”, at the same time that it promotes an area always receptive to risk and experimentation, so that the entire city can enjoy and reflect on this shared present that we share”.
