Inaugurated the exhibition "In oil" in the MAP José Hernández

From today until 14 October may be seen at the Museum of Popular Art (MAP) José Hernández the exhibition "raw", a selection of works that add leather design and tradition.

This exhibition will be officially opened from the 18 hours on the premises located on Avenida del Libertador 2373, under the curatorship of Second Deferrari and with the participation of the Museum Las Lilas San Antonio de Areco.

On the other hand, "In oil" is an exhibition that is carried out under the project axis Narratives Fashions Crusades, the proposal goes through samples from the various museums of the City of Buenos Aires.

In this selection of creations, the public will appreciate this type of work done in Rawhide, art that is essential in the national identity. With these objects were diverse cultures have used this material in everyday life, at work and in war.

The pieces on display are ancient and modern, developed under different techniques that reflect the nobility of leather adapted to different functions. You can also visualize the history of artisans and disseminators of the trade.

This will be the first time the MAP carry forward the sample collection crafts treasuring knew Carlos Guillermo Daws, composed petacas, rebenques, seating, boleadoras, nod off, straps and boots. It will also feature material from the National Endowment for the Arts and the contribution of private collectors and artists who enrich this sample.

The exhibition will also feature interactive sensory proposals, and during the exhibition there will be various activities, workshops sandals and Swedish, accessories, roundtables, among others.

The input value is 50 pesos (Wednesday no access charge), while retirees and college students with ID and children under 12 years have free admission.
