The Buenos Aires-Paris Short Film Festival added to Montevideo

Within the framework of its ten years of realization, The Buenos Aires-Paris Short Film Festival will also take place in the Uruguayan city of Montevideo, where an original selection of productions from the three countries will be presented.

In total there will be three meetings, the first will be in Montevideo on 6 of September, then it will be our country's turn, the 4 October and finally the Exhibition will close in Paris on 18 October. Each of them will take place at the headquarters of the French Alliance, entity that sponsors this initiative and with free entry.

The Montevideo Show – Buenos Aires – Paris 2024 will present an exquisite selection of outstanding Uruguayan short films, Argentines and French who have stood out for their quality, originality and proposal in the most varied genres. In this way the public will have the possibility of enjoying fictions, documentaries, animations and experimental works, suitable for all audiences and subtitled respecting the original language.

Carefully chosen short films have passed through the Exhibition, unpublished works by emerging filmmakers that have shared the screen with other titles by artists recognized at international festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand, Annecy, Mar del Plata, Bafici, Oberhausen or the Unifrance Prize Selection. It has even had the luxury of receiving Oscar Award contenders and even Goya Award winners.. The line-up of this new and very special edition will be known very soon, which will have three screenings in three countries., embracing the three cultures.

Organized by the short film distributor, Amashort movies and series, the Montevideo Exhibition – Buenos Aires – Paris 2024 It is sponsored by the French Embassies in Uruguay and Argentina, the Argentine Embassy in France, the French Alliances of the 3 cities, Montevideo Audiovisual, and with the support of Le Monde diplomatique.
