New day of the Jueves Vivos cycle at the Teatro Argentino
This Thursday 21 November - at 20 hours-, The Astor Piazzolla Room of the Teatro Argentino Provincial Arts Center will be the scene of a new presentation of the cultural cycle “Jueves Vivos”.

The event will begin with Betania Díaz, an integral artist who combines her facet of music, writer, composer and vocalist in a style that reflects the roots of Argentine folklore. His first record production, titled “Seed and flower”, It was carried out under the direction of Diego Gallo. Soon, launch a new job, this time with his own musical direction, in which he will address pieces by various authors of national popular music and also original compositions.
The day will culminate with the presentation of the Atypical Second Time Orchestra, a group formed in March 2020 characterized by an innovative musical approach. Under the direction, arrangements and compositions by “Tato” Finocchi, the orchestra combines genres such as tango, zamba, chacarera, candombe and brazilian music, all of them reinterpreted from a jazz perspective. His repertoire includes works by artists such as Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ennio Morricone, Cuchi Leguizamón, plus original Finocchi parts. The orchestra is made up of Mariano Meneghini on trumpet, Rubén “Mono” Izarrualde on flute, Bernardo Casagrande on tenor saxophone, Ana Escalada on bandoneon, Sebastián Dileva on bass, Potolo Abregó and Gustavo Tumori on percussion, Andrés Martínez on piano and keyboards, Ivan Simanovsky on trombone, Guimo Migoya on drums and Tato Finocchi himself on piano.
The “Jueves Vivos” cycle is a proposal from the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires that seeks to bring musical proposals from artists with different trajectories to the public.. In this frame, The participation of Betania Díaz stands out, who is part of the Provincial Code, a platform that promotes the cultural and artistic diversity of Buenos Aires.
