With the screenings of "The unburied corpse" and "The thousand and one" came the first Thursday of December Releases on the screens of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA).

"The unburied corpse" went through the Official Selection of the Feratum 2020 (Michoacan, Mexico), while “Las Mil y una” is a co-production made between our country and Germany, winner of the Best Film Award at the 21st Jeonju International Film Festival, winner of the Special Mention in the 32 Rencontres de Toulouse Cinelatino and which was part of the International Competition of the 35th Edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival.

As it usually happens, both productions will also have a repeat on Saturday 5. At the same time, since Friday 4 both will be available on the CINE.AR PLAY platform, for seven days, exclusively and free.

Starring Demian Salomón Sánchez, Hector Gomez Alba, Fernando Misnik, Mirta Busnelli, Sergio Dioguardi, Sebastian Mogordoy, Pablo Palacio, Carolina Marcovsky and Diego Recalde, "The unburied corpse" tells the story of a psychiatrist who suffers from hallucinations of the past, that take him back to the time of his youth and his time in an orphanage.

Everything will change when his father dies and returns to the town where he was born, where he will meet his brothers and a dark secret.

This is Cohen Arazi's first fiction feature film, who previously directed the documentaries “As usual, a comic script” (2006), “Casino” (2008), "Cut it off" (2014), "Machine cancer" (2016) and "Between pogroms" (2019). He also produced the documentaries "Comunidad de locos" (2005), directed by Ana Cutuli and “40 balas, The Fischer-Bufano case " (2015), directed by Ernesto Gut and Dionisio Cardozo.

Meanwhile, Clarisa Navas' film has a cast made up of Sofía Cabrera, Ana Carolina Garcia, Mauricio Vila, Luis Molina and Marianela Iglesia.

The plot of "The thousand and one" revolves around two women who meet in a monoblocks neighborhood and begin a passionate relationship.

But nevertheless, this relationship will be rejected by the context, spreading prejudices. In this situation, they and their small group of friends will be the queer resistance, making those ruined architectures become as complicit as they are risky and that their encounters are light in the neighborhood night.

Navas is a correntina trained in Audiovisual Arts at the National University of Arts (A). His debut feature, "Today game at 3" (2017), was awarded at various international festivals. "The thousand and one" is his second feature film.
