The National Meeting of the Argentine Audiovisual Corridor was held

Under the virtual modality and from the Tucuman city of Tafí Viejo, the National Meeting of the Argentine Audiovisual Corridor was carried out, under the slogan "Towards a new Federal Audiovisual Production".

The event had the participation by videoconference of the vice president of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), Nicolas Batlle, INCAA's Deputy Manager for Federal Development, Cecilia Ten, as well as representatives of Argentine audiovisual production companies, organized in 7 Cluster and Chambers of the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Corrientes, Mendoza, Black river, Santa Fe and Tucumán.

"Argentina is a big country, federal, with enormous potential for audiovisual development, what is culture and industry. From our place, we are committed to providing tools that allow our stories to be told with our own voices ", said Nicolás Batlle, who added that "INCAA supports and strongly bets on the growth of the sector, after a truly unfortunate year. This is for us the year of return to filming and to theaters ".

At this meeting, the work schedule was established 2021-2022, and had the participation of the Municipality of Tafí Viejo, who announced the creation of the first creative district in the north of the country.

INCAA's Deputy Manager for Federal Development, Cecilia Ten, participated in the table “National Ecosystem for Audiovisual Production”, in which they presented the scope and public policies of the management of their area, as well as the actions that INCAA has taken to meet the needs arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. Between them, the different support measures for social works of the different branches of the audiovisual industry, the creation of assistance funds for the reactivation of filming and productions, the creation of exhibition windows for the premieres in CINE.AR and CINE.AR Play, sustaining alternative exhibition programs, the federalization of the 35th Mar del Plata International Film Festival, with functions in different provinces. further, the different works for the presentation of a new Development Plan were announced, and the holding of the First International Meeting of Observatories of the Audiovisual Industry, that will take place virtually on 27 Y 28 of May.

Formed in the 2018, the CAAR is made up of more than 200 audiovisual production companies that promote the industry in different regions of the country. It is an innovative collective space to promote associativity, increase co-productions and expand borders by generating an offer of audiovisual content with a local view and a global audience.
