Fine Arts Cinema will screen four films related to the visual arts

From 17 November until the 25 the same month, the National Museum of Fine Arts, together with Friends of Fine Arts and INCAA, will exhibit national productions related to the visual arts.

In total there will be four films that will be exhibited within the framework of the “CINE.AR Play Meetings” cycle.: Argentine art in Argentine cinema”, free admission.

The programming includes “Cándido López and the battlefields” (2005), directed by José Luis García (Friday 17 of November, to 18); "The intangible" (2019), of Matilde Michanié (Friday 24 of November, to 18); “The secret work” (2018), by Graciela Taquini (Saturday 25 of November, to 16); and “The Legacy” (2022), by Rodrigo Demirjian (Saturday 25 of November, to 18).

According to the curator of Fine Arts Cinema, Leonardo D’Espósito, “the encounter between the plastic arts of our country and cinema has always been fruitful” and adds: “Both in fiction and documentary, “The films that allude to and show the rich heritage of plastic on the big screen have gone beyond mere illustration.”.

“At the close of the season 2023 of this space, and with the invaluable collaboration of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts, We propose four works born from this crossroads that is beneficial for both arts., and also for the viewer, to whom paths of discovery open in these works”, the critic adds.
