The thirteenth edition of the International Music Fair of Buenos Aires (BAFIM) had its initial kick with open-air concerts on the streets of the Abasto neighborhood.

In total there were more than 800 people who took over the streets of the neighborhood, with shows by Silvina Moreno, the renowned rapper who won the Battle of Gallos, G SONY, and the new generation of artists Juli Obregón and Guido Encinas together with Mario Bofill as guest of honor, in homage to chamamé.

During his opening speech, Buenos Aires Minister of Culture Enrique Avogadro said that "BAFIM is an opportunity for the music sector to meet, Many projects are known and arise that can be seen throughout the region”. The official added that the Festival "is a key piece to promote the music industry, not only in the City of Buenos Aires but also at the federal and international level. One of the great phenomena occurs around the Argentine urban genre, there is an explosion in the world, with a wide arrival of our talents, like wos, Thunder, Duki, Bizarrap, which is also marked by work and associative and collaborative spirit”.

Meanwhile, the director of BAFIM, Nahuel Carfi celebrated the return of the Fair and expressed that this meeting "works from its origin with three classic axes: bonding, professionalization and export. And in this specific edition we add a diverse and federal agenda. We are very excited about the 3 intense days ahead for the music industry and happy to continue accompanying the sector”.

On this occasion, the BAFIM will have more than 50 institutions and companies supporting, next to 10 sponsors. An agenda with a gender perspective, the participation of more than 40 international guests and more than 50 shows live. further, about 10 invited international markets, Y 1.500 industry professionals from all over the country are already part of the community.

Until the 19 of November at Konex Cultural City (Sarmiento 3131), BAFIM continues with workshops, discussion tables and talks with professionals from around the world; and shows by bands and emerging and established artists from all over the country such as An Espil, Santi Celli, PAN, Valdes, The kisses, Feli Colina, Everything looks Normal, Benjamin Amadeo, Alejo and Valentine, 1915, Barbi Recanati, BB Asul and Martin Oliver, among others.
