The Sarmiento Museum invites you to participate in the "Moon Capture"
Hand in hand with the "Observe the Moon Night 2020" proposal promoted by NASA, The Sarmiento Historical Museum carries out a call to participate in the "Lunar Capture".
The appointment will be during the night of this Saturday, where everyone can appreciate the only natural satellite of the Earth from the street, window, garden or any place with a view of the sky, online or wherever you are.
The purpose of the slogan is to take pictures and be part of a virtual exhibition by the museum. In that context, the journalist and photographer Luis Médici will be part of this photographic launch.
International Observe the Moon Night occurs annually in September or October, when the moon is around the first quarter, a great phase for night observation. further, a first quarter Moon offers excellent viewing opportunities along the terminator (the line between night and day), where shadows enhance the moon's cratered landscape.
International Observe the Moon Night is sponsored by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission and the Division of Solar System Exploration at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, with many collaborators.
