A new edition of the Children's and Youth Book Fair ended and with it, There were several records that were broken due to the great turnout of the public.

As detailed by the El Libro Foundation, entity responsible for the Fair, during the 21 The days that the meeting lasted at the Kirchner Cultural Center passed more than 353 thousand visitors, yielding an increase of 17 percent compared to the previous edition.

In total they were 88 the exhibitors who gathered at 65 stands located in more than a thousand square meters of surface. In addition, they were carried out 418 total activities (35 organized by exhibitors and 383 organized by the El Libro Foundation).

Likewise, of these activities contracted by the Foundation, 352 were intended for children, there was 130 storytelling shows, 89 science workshops and 31 Movida Juvenil activities on the terrace.

Continuing with the activities, four theater shows were performed with more than 1000 assistants hired by Fundación El Libro (Three shows of "Three Crazy Cats" and a show of "Story Hunters").

The Fair in numbers

On the other hand, Fundación El Libro provided more details about the numbers produced by this edition of the Fair:

– 2 Cartoon Festivals: one for children and one for youth.

– 30 authors and/or illustrators signed copies of their books

– 35 exhibitors adhered to the Program “Amiga Bookstore”.

– 78 participants in the Conference for Teachers and Reading Mediators.

– 38 exhibitors attached to the “great crossing”.

– 115 enrolled in the Professional Conferences.

– 162 school contingents with 5820 students.

– 7.296 Twitter followers

– 25.378 followers on instagram

Throughout the fair there were fixed spaces with rotating activities such as the Melquíades science and experiments workshop and two storytelling rooms in which children's storytellers such as Alejandra Alliende participated., NanuStories, Andrea Martinoli and Any González, among other.
