This Friday 18 October, two new samples may be taken in the Latin American space Photo Library (BLOOD): "Dark West", de Bryan Schutmaat y “Looking for the masters in Ricardo´s golden Shoes”, the Catherine Balet.

First and curated by Pablo Cabado, "The Dark West" consists of two projects in the mythical western region of the United States. The most recent of these series, tentatively titled "Vessels", It was photographed in the desert area of ​​the region.

Performed entirely in black and white, these photographs include intimate portraits of travelers and wanderers finger highways, who live along the interstate system. The series also consists of landscapes and diverse images of objects that reflect a country in danger, amid the ravages of the great environmental deterioration, economic dispossession and social abandonment. Under these premises, Schutmaat has as objective to capture the human capacity to resist.
